Is anyone caring for you? Are you caring for yourself? Often Moms feel guilty about taking time for themselves… some mothers even feel that self-care is selfish!
We’ve all heard the announcement on the plane… “Please put your own oxygen mask on first before placing it on your child.” Isn’t that counterintuitive to what we’ve learned as Moms? Aren’t we told to care for others before ourselves? Although there may not be someone “telling” you that, this may be the message you’re telling yourself. Moms often express how exhausted they are, just barely surviving the day.
Have you ever tried to drive your car on an empty tank of gas…tried to keep it going with gas fumes? How does your phone work when you haven’t charged it in two days? Not well, I suspect. We’re very good at recharging our batteries and refilling our gas tanks, yet we neglect to recharge and refill ourselves!
When you’re losing energy, feeling overwhelmed and unappreciated, how is life working for you? Do you find your patience is diminished, if not gone? Do you become reactive? Yes, we’ve all been there!
Here’s what I know for sure. When we take the time to relax and recharge, life is so much sweeter. We can’t give to others what we don’t have for ourselves. I have worked with many mothers who often lament, “WHO IS TAKING CARE OF ME?”
So I’ve decided it’s time for Moms to receive the care and nurturing they so deserve! I will be facilitating two retreats for Moms, a Mini-Retreat and a Weekend Retreat. - Facilitated retreat with manual/workbook
- Accommodations for 2 nights/3 days. Cottages with double occupancy (two women per room with two queen size beds in a 2, 3, or 4 bedroom cottage)
- Single occupancy is available by request (slight additional charge)
